Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlations between uPA, PAI-1 expression and neoadjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer.Methods We collected 82 cases of breast cancer patients who received treatment in our hospital from May 2014 to March 2012. All the patients were treated with breast cancer resection and neoadjuvant chemotherapy after surgery. Levels of UPA and PAI-1 expression in breast carcinoma tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry examination. The correlations between uPA, PAI-1 expression and the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on breast cancer were analyzed.Results The expression of uPA and PAI-1 was negatively correlated with the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on breast cancer(-1≤r<0,P<0.05).Conclusion The positive expression of uPA and PAI-1 is correlated with the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on breast cancer, suggesting that uPA and PAI-1 could be used as negative biomarkers of therapeutic effect.
