Analysis of Re-examination Results of Quarantine among 4791 Recruits in a Troop |

Abstract Objective To analyze the re-examination results of quarantine among 4791 recruits, and to explore the main causes of disqualification in 2014, in order to provide a reference for future recruits' quarantine re-examinations works.Methods The hygiene institutions in the unit which was in charge of training recruits and the hospitals of troop system performed the re-examinations work according to same standard.Results There were 241 unqualified recruits among 4791 recruits. The top three diseases were eye diseases (19.08%), digestive system diseases (17.84%) and musculoskeletal diseases (11.20%). Compared with the previous years, there existed the characteristics of "two more two less": recruits with serious diseases and psycho-mental illness increased and the ones with unqualified BMI and eyesight decreased.Conclusion There are unqualified recruits in a certain ratio among all recruits. Some measures such as organizing the scientific quarantine re-examinations, developing psychological service and tracking the dynamic health state, etc. should be made to guarantee the health of recruits.
