Abstract:Objective To analyze the physical examination results of military cadets in a military university from 2010 to 2014 and provide data and evidence for related health departments. Methods Physical examinations were carried out for a total of 3388 new cadets from 2010 to 2014 according to the Physical Examination Standard for Military College Cadets (Log.Doc.(2006)6). EpiData 3.1 was employed to input the general information and examination results, while SPSS 20.0 was used for data analysis. Results Between 2010 and 2014, the general detection rate of abnormal indexes was 21.0% (713/3388) but kept increasing each year. Among the 18 abnormal detections, the top 5 were dental caries (7.70%), abnormal ALT (3.78%), shortage of height (1.86%), poor eyesight (1.36%), and low HB (1.15%).Conclusion Physical examinations before and after admission are an important meanss for screening military cadets with physical and mental problems. It's quite necessary to adopt comprehensive health promotion measures to maintain their health with reference to abnormal indexes.
