Abstract Objective To observe the effects of ozone combined with radiofrequency thermocoagulation and small incision fenestration combined with self-made trephine on the patients with lumbar disc herniation.Method From Feb 2012 to Nov 2014, 208 patients with lumbar disc herniation accepted treatment in our hospital were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 104 cases in each group. The experimental group was given small incision fenestration combined with self-made trephine treatment and the control group received ozone combined with radiofrequency thermocoagulation therapy. The difference of the rapeutic effect was observed between the two groups.Result The therapeutic effect and quality of life in the experimental group were both higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), but the incidence of concurrent diseases was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Small incision fenestration combined with self-made trephine has significant therapeutic effect on patients with lumbar disc herniation.
