Pregnancy weight is an important indicator for evaluating the nutritional status of pregnant women and fetuses in the uterus. Moderate weight gain during pregnancy can help adapt to the physiological needs of the mother during pregnancy and the growth and development of the fetus. Inappropriate weight gain during pregnancy has a significant impact on the occurrence of pregnancy complications and pregnancy outcomes. Detailed recommendations and guidances on weight gain during pregnancy are of great significance for improving the level of health care during pregnancy and preventing pregnancy complications and postpartum chronic diseases. This review aims to summarize and compare weight gain recommendations or standards during pregnancy from different countries, to explore the models of weight management during pregnancy by retrieving relevant domestic and foreign literatures.
