Abstract Objective To observe the effect and influence factors of TCM health care intervention on patients with diabetic foot so as to contribute to the prognosis of diabetic foot. Methods 100 One hundred cases of hospitalized patients with diabetic foot between Oct 2012 and Oct 2014 with diabetic foot were randomly divided into control group (no TCM intervention) and intervention group (with TCM intervention). The recovery, cognitive and self-nursing ability were observed, while influence factors were analyzed. Results The scores of recovery, cognitive and self-nursing ability of patients in intervention group were not only higher than those of control group, but increased over time (P<0.05). Survival analysis showed that patients of intervention group took much less time to achieve a good effect than control group (P<0.05).Multiple factors analysis showed that levels of education and race were independent factors that influenced the effect of intervention. Conclusion TCM intervention can contribute to the rehabilitation of patients with diabetic foot.
