Abstract In this paper, developments of surveillance networks for infectious disease pathogens in the world were introduced. Effective measures, achievements and existing problems related to the construction of pathogens surveillance networks were analyzed. To enhance surveillance and early warning of infectious disease pathogens in China's armed forces, it is of great importance to optimize network systems , adopt new IT tools, strengthen regulations and management of surveillance, and improve personnel training.
