RESEARCH PROGRESS OF PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF HEATSTROKE WITH MEDICINAL AND EDIBLE HERBS

High temperature environment is highly susceptible to organismal injury and reduced operational capacity. In recent years, global warming led to persistent high temperature and extreme hot weather, and the incidence of heatstroke was increasing. Current studies found that some ingredients in food and Chinese materia medica can effectively prevent and treat heat injury, and their action mechanisms received widespread attention. To provide theoretical support for clinical application research, this paper reviewed the recent medicinal and edible herbs used for the prevention and treatment of heatstroke, as well as their action mechanism.
