Abstract Objective To compare the diagnostic accuracy of the serum CA125 level combined with transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound respectively in ovarian tumors. Methods A total of 200 patients with suspected ovarian cancer treated in our hospital between Jan 2012 and Mar 2015 were examined with biopsy guided by transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound while their serum CA125 levels were detected. 182 cases were eventually confirmed to be ovarian tumors by pathological examinations of tumor tissues. The difference in diagnostic accuracy was compared between the above four examination methods. Results The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio and diagnostic accuracy of CA125 combined with biopsy guided by transvaginal color Doppler and contrast-enhanced ultrasound were higher than those of single transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound or contrast-enhanced ultrasound. The diagnostic Results of serum CA125 combined with contrast-enhanced ultrasound guided biopsy were significantly better than those of serum CA125 combined with transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound examination(P<0.05).Conclusion CA125 level combined with biopsy guided by contrast-enhanced ultrasound can improve the diagnostic accuracy of ovarian tumors.
